THS CLASS OF '64 - RAVINIA NIGHT

 

SHOW:  Patti LaBelle and The Commodores

VENUE:  Ravinia Festival, Green Bay Rd north of Lake Cook Rd, Highland Park, IL

DATE:  Thursday, June 23, 2016.

TIME:  Park opens at 5 PM, Concert starts at 7:30 PM.  Suggest that you arrive approximately 5:30 PM in order to have time for dinner and socializing (and get a good parking spot) before the concert starts.

FINDING US INSIDE THE PARK:  We will be gathering on one of the lawn areas within Ravinia.  (Refer to the map below for location info.)

TICKETS:  Ravinia will offer online ticketing at www.ravinia.org starting at 5 AM on April 26.  You are encouraged to purchase your lawn tickets as soon as possible after that date, since popular concerts frequently sell out.  Ticket prices are $38 per person if purchased in advance of the concert date, $43 at the gate.

​PARKING:  There is a fee for parking inside of Ravinia...usually around $20.  However, there are free shuttle buses that will take you to/from free parking lots within Highland Park.  (Call Ravinia for details.)  Also, there is a Metra train stop at Ravinia.

OTHER:  For those of you who have never been to Ravinia, you can either eat before coming to the park...or pack a picnic dinner and eat it inside the park...or purchase dinner inside the park.  You can also bring your own soft (or hard) drinks into the park (cheaper than buying in the park).  If you plan to eat with our "group" inside the park, you may also want to bring an appetizer or dessert that you can share with others in our group (not required).  You can either bring lawn chairs, tables and blankets, or you can rent chairs/tables at the park.
